GENERAL INFORMATION
Each state has some sort of governing board /
agency which
oversees law enforcement training. These agencies establish the minimum standards for
basic and in-service training.
In addition to the academy links, you will find these "standards" agencies,
usually listed as POST – Police Officer Standards Training,linked at the top of each state page.
If you have a technical question regarding reciprocity (lateral
transfers), etc. , contact the "standards" agencies.
